Jordan Tommerdahl Memorial Scholarship 2025 Application Now Open

Students pursuing advanced mental health degrees encouraged to apply
[Fergus Falls, MN] When Jordan Tommerdahl died by suicide in 2019, his family wanted to honor his memory by helping to make a difference in the field of mental health. They received an outpouring of financial support when they set up the Jordan Tommerdahl Memorial Scholarship Fund to help fill the resource gap in mental healthcare. They entrusted Lake Region Healthcare Foundation to administer the fund and the scholarship process of awarding proceeds to students pursuing advanced degrees in the mental health field.
Lake Region Healthcare Foundation is currently accepting applications for the 2025 scholarship award. Anyone who has lived or worked in the Lake Region Healthcare service area and is pursuing an advanced degree (e.g., master's, doctorate) in mental health-related fields such as psychology, social work, mental health counseling, marriage and family therapy, psychiatric nursing, psychiatric nurse practitioner, or psychiatry is eligible to apply. The full application details and links are available online at www.lrhc.org/jordan. The 2025 application deadline is July 15th, and the scholarship will be awarded in August.
