Tell it to the Jury: Boot Camp for Better Applications

Time to change up your game? The goal of this weekend workshop is to polish your materials in preparation for upcoming grant or exhibition application opportunities you're interested in. We'll strategize on how best to tell your story for these specific opportunities.

We will begin on Friday night by reviewing and troubleshooting other artists' work samples, statements, and resumes. On Saturday morning, we'll look at your materials, and offer peer-to-peer feedback on refinements. There will be a working lunch while people rework their materials based on the provided feedback. Then we'll gather everyone back together for a review of the new and improved packages. This is boot camp-there will be homework! Each artist will be expected to have identified a specific opportunity they are interested in applying for, and come prepared with twelve work samples (in jpeg form on a CD for visual artists), four copies of their artist resume and four copies of their artist statement.
