Fundamentals of a Great Business

Bill English draws on his experience as a business owner who has been through the ups and downs of ownership to speak on the characteristics of good businesses that are slowing going bad and help other business owners who are willing to learn how to solve their most important problems. Bill also draws on his experience as a Minnesota Psychologist to connect the persona and emotions of being a business owner to the ebb and flow of the business itself.  Learn why understanding yourself forms the core of how you should run your business. Bill will uncover key killers of your business that usually operate out-of-sight but have the potential to slowly grind your business down to the point of bankruptcy. Bill English is a former business owner of a national training company that grew to $9M/year in sales in its’ first five years of existence.  It was a great business with the right people on the bus sitting in the right seats. In spite of this, over the ensuing six years, Bill had to right-size his business twice and eventually sold it at the end of 2014. He didn’t see the warning signs until it was too late.

What you will learn:

  • Learn about the long-term warning signs that indicate your business is going downhill
  • Learn how to use a pragmatic methodology to diagnose the core problems in your organization and then, how to solve them
  • Learn how your persona affects your business, for good or ill
  • Take home practical tools that you can use the same day to get your business on the path to long-term success
