Your face tells your story. Professional headshots can help tell it with professionalism, confidence, and approachability to potential clients, employers, or partners.

Together with Jordan Elizabeth Photography, The Fergus Falls Chamber is offering a day to have your professional headshots taken.

To prepare for your headshots, just keep it simple.  A headshot is from the shoulders up, so don't fret about style. Simple is best.  Here are some tips for you:

• The photographer will help you pose and help you look your best on camera.
• Think about sticking to clothing that fits you well and makes you feel confident. Finding clothing that fits just right will help create a flattering image.
• Solid colors always photograph well. We recommend avoiding busy patterns and sticking to colors that compliment your skin tone. Avoid fabrics that are shiny and reflective, have large logos or graphics, or anything overly casual i.e.a t-shirt.
• Think about your look. Is it appropriate for your industry? Think about how you would dress when meeting a high-potential client. A dress shirt/tie or a nice blouse or blazer are always good options.
• Keep accessories to a minimum. Make sure they aren't distracting from the focus of the headshot (which is you!)
• Be cleaned and groomed. If you are a make-up wearer, be sure that it is not too heavy and is natural looking. Think about a fresh haircut or a hairstyle that is simple and neat.
