Pet Portrait Fundraiser

6th ANNUAL PET PORTRAIT FUNDRAISER

The holiday season is fast approaching. Perhaps you're considering having a portrait of your entire family, including "Rover" and "Mittens," done for your holiday greeting cards. Maybe you want a beautiful photograph of your pet to hang on your wall. Whatever the case may be, we have a unique opportunity for you. 

The Humane Society of Otter Tail County is hosting its annual Pet Portrait fundraiser on Saturday, November 5 from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and on Sunday, November 6 from noon to 5:00 p.m. at the Fergus Falls National Guard Armory.

This year's event features the boutique style of photography in which you and your pet(s) will not only have a fine portrait taken, but will have a wonderful experience as well. Dawn Nelson of Dawn's Photography located between Dalton and Ashby, Minnesota has graciously agreed to donate her time and expertise to our event. Dawn is an award-winning photographer whose attention to detail is second to none. She is a member of the Professional Photographers of America, Minnesota Professional Photographers of America, SPA portrait artists, WPPI, MIE Society and other photographer organizations. Dawn attends many educational classes throughout the year, keeping her up to date with the newest trends and styles along with maintaining the classic portraiture.

This two-day event is not limited to dogs and cats. Families (must include a pet), ferrets, rabbits, hamsters, Guinea pigs, mice, rats, gerbils, and even snakes and lizards are welcome. We only ask that your pet be up to date with its vaccinations and is on a leash or in a pet carrier when you enter the building.

You won't want to miss this wonderful opportunity. You will not only have a beautiful portrait taken of your beloved pet, but you will also help shelter, feed, and care for many animals that have not found their forever homes yet. All proceeds will benefit the Humane Society of Otter Tail County.
