Patriot Day is a United States national observance that honors the memory of those who were killed in the September 11 attacks. It was first observed in 2002, after the proclamation by President George W. Bush. A moment of silence is traditionally observed at 8:46 AM. Many organizations and establishments hold memorial ceremonies to honor the victims of 9/11. Weather permitting, the Fergus Falls Veterans Walk of Flags will be posting and retreating 1922 Flags on Patriot Day.

September 11, 2023. Flags are posted in the various locations at 730 AM, them retreated at 430 PM.
