National Night Out

National Night Out will be held again in Fergus Falls on Tuesday, August 3rd. Residents are invited to join in hosting a block party – or attending one this summer. This is a great opportunity to support neighbors coming together and reconnecting after a challenging year. To learn more or sign up to host a block party, email National Night Out Fergus Falls at NNOFergusFalls@gmail.com. There is also a Facebook Group where additional information will be shared as well as information on the City’s website. The City of Fergus Falls will provide free barricades to block off streets for block parties; they must be reserved by July 23. And the police and fire department staff will make their best effort to visit those block parties who sign up by that date. National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live. National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community. Locally, the NNO is co-sponsored by a volunteer lead effort along with the City of Fergus Falls and the Fergus Falls Police and Fire Departments.
