Military Roundtable Meets October 5

The Military Roundtable sponsored by the Otter Tail County Historical Society will meet at the Minnesota Veterans Home in Fergus Falls on Monday, October 5, 2015 at 2pm. The topic for the program will be "WW2 - the Pacific Theater.” Local veterans have requested this topic. Participants will watch footage from the World War II, shot by official US Navy photographers, and discussion will follow.

This theater of the war touched Otter Tail County immediately. The VFW post in Perham is named for two men from Perham who died in the Japanese attacks in Hawaii on Dec. 7, 1941. Hundreds of men and women from the county served in the Pacific.
