Mayor's Bike Ride & Sculptural Bike Rack Ribbon Cutting

We hope you can join us for a very special Mayor's Bike Ride this year... we're going to be celebrating the installation of eight sculptural bike racks in Fergus Falls! These sculptural bike racks were designed and built by renowned Fergus Falls artists Naomi Schliesman and Carl Zachmann, through a partnership between the City of Fergus Falls and Pedal Fergus Falls.

We'll gather at 5:30 on the plaza at the library for a brief ribbon-cutting ceremony, which will feature a few remarks by Mayor Ben Schierer, as well as some comments from both Carl and Naomi.

After that, we'll take a short, family-friendly ride through downtown led by Mayor Schierer. On the ride we'll visit the sculptural bike racks that will be located near several downtown arts organizations, including A Center for the Arts, the Kaddatz Galleries, Lake Region Arts Council, and Springboard for the Arts.

This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through grants from the Lake Region Arts Council, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the Arts and Cultural Heritage fund.
