Magnificent Migratory Monarchs in Michoacán, Mexico

This presentation is hosted by the Friends of the Prairie Wetlands Learning Center in partnership with the Fergus Falls Public Library.

Armchair adventurers! Climb aboard for a virtual trip to see our migratory monarchs in the mountains of Michoacán, Mexico. Find out how they spend the winter and ways we can help ensure their survival. Your guide is Molly Stoddard, who travelled there in-person one year ago. She will share some of the history, beautiful culture, and breathtaking nature of Mexico City, Angangueo, and the Monarch Butterfly Biosphere Reserve, a United Nations World Heritage Site.

The free presentation will include a showcase of related resources available for check-out from the Fergus Falls Public Library.

Local participants who attend earn the chance to receive a special souvenir from the reserve.
