Learn Hardanger Embroidery

Hardanger embroidery is a simple form of “whitework embroidery” often used on linens, pillows, caps, and more. This form of hand embroidery uses counted thread, pulled thread, and drawn threadwork techniques to create geometric shapes and even pictures! Named after a region in southwest Norway, Hardanger is traditionally white thread on white linen or cloth; however, contemporary pieces often feature a myriad of colored threads and fabrics. It includes needle weaving sewn in the hand rather than a hoop. April 12-14, 9 AM-12 PM $105 / $90 non-members / members includes the kit Location: Glendalough
