Building Trust During Communication & Conflict (Instructor: Jennifer Schillinger, M-State)
Use techniques from Crucial Conversation® to share ideas, explore the ideas of others and create action plans to reach common goals respectfully and confidently. You will develop your conversation strategy to help build shared meaing and mutual respect even when there are opposing opinions and emotions are high.

• Learn to recognize when you are in a state of conflict and understand the importance of staying in dialogue to move toward resolution.
• Prepare for effective dialogue by identifying your motivation and internal stories related to the topic at hand.
• Identify common distractions and apply techniques for refocusing a conversation.
• Practice conversations that incorporate your facts and conclusings, while being open to others sharing theirs.
• Explore techniques for turning conversation into action and results.
