Boiler Operator Exam Preparation

This course is designed to prepare the boiler operator or those preparing for employment as a boiler operator to take the Minnesota Low Pressure (Level C) or High-Pressure (Levels A & B) Boiler Exam for the following classes: special engineer, 2nd class engineer, 1st class engineer or chief engineer. The contents include the following relating to Low Pressure: hydronics, hot water boiler operation, steam boiler theory, steam boiler construction and operation, steam distribution, condensate recovery, feedwater system, combustion theory and control, boiler efficiency, draft control, boiler steam feedwater treatment, steam traps, and boiler safety. Class activities will include observation tours of boiler facilities.
