DESCRIPTION:Please join us for a "Meet the Candidates" forum for MN State Legislative District 9 & 9A at the Fergus Falls Public Library Jean Dahling room on Thursday\, October 6th at 4:30pm.\n\n\n\nThe Chamber serves as the lead advocate and resource for our 350+ members and we create partnerships that foster a healthy business climate. This forum will focus on business-related issues that affect our region. Questions will be developed by the Chamber and each candidate will get equal time to respond\, however this is not a debate-style event. Dave Bishop with Leighton Broadcasting and a member of the Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors\, will moderate. Questions will not be taken from the audience. The following candidates have been invited:\n\nHouse of Representative District 9A:\n\nNancy Jost (DFL)\n\nJeff Backer (R)\n\nSenate District 9:\n\nJordan Rasmusson (R)\n\nCornel Walker (DFL)\n\n\n\nThis event is free and open to the public. It will be broadcast on PEG Access\, PRTV\, Leighton Broadcasting and the Fergus Falls Chamber's YouTube channel following the event.\n\n\n\nCandidate Forum Policy: The Fergus Falls Area Chamber of Commerce may elect to host a candidate forum(s) during an election year. Forums may be held for offices at the city\, county\, school board\, state or federal level. Candidates who have filed with the City of Fergus Falls\, Otter Tail County\, Fergus Falls School District or Secretary of State's office and whose names will be published on the official ballot will be invited to participate in the forum(s). The forum will be held whether or not all/any candidates have confirmed their participation.\n\n\n\n(Please note: signage\, posters\, banners or other items that may block visibility will not be allowed).
